The Middle East and African (MEA) region has a total population of 1.7bn people reaching 2bn by 2030, half of the global population growth is derived out of this region alone and one fifth of the world’s population will living in Africa by this time.

Africa has the fastest rates of urbanization in the world thus creating the next frontier for consumer development and investment for the long term. The African market remains open for long term growth reaching $2.1 trillion driven by the size of Africa’s working-age population that is expected to surpass both India’s and China’s by 2034.
This MEA region is primed for growth with the youngest global demographic over the next 30 years. Brands for Africa focus’ on servicing the needs and desires of 16 – 36 year olds, 40% (680m) of the region’s population & 42% of its associated economic potential. This demographic is well educated, well travelled and highly aspirational consumers that will become more economic participative over the next 3 – 5 years.
